The Continental Dockyard TShirt
Coloured caricature print designed by George Woodward and published by Thomas Tegg of No. 111 Cheapside, 27th November 1807. The print is a satirical comment on the success of the Royal Navy in capturing all of the different forces which Napoleon pressed into service from continental allies. It shows two storehouses separated by a stretch of sea; one labelled 'John Bull's Storehouse' is surrounded by John Bull and sailors and is full of ships from past victories e.g. Porto Bello, Nile, etc. The other labelled 'The Gallic Storehouse for English Shipping' shows many ships under construction on the slips from Sweden, Denmark, Spain, etc. Napoleon stands in front of the shipwrights asking them to work faster.
This The Continental Dockyard TShirt is created using state of the art, industry leading Digital printers. The result - a stunning reproduction at an affordable price.
